Quality Life Construction (QLC) is a turn key developer with an innovative process to provide housing for special-needs population.
QLC structural designs offer the security of fire-resistant materials with a minimum thermal rating of R-30 and wind load capacities of 175mph; all of which are in excess of what is required by many building codes.
Additionally, all housing designs and materials lend to an increased energy efficiency.
The design and inherent structural stability of QLC's buildings make them as near maintenance-free as buildings can be and are ideal for both our "in need" population, the service providers, and the buildings' owners.
While QLC homes blend completely into their neighborhoods, each is tailored and
"made to order" for specific use and needs of our targeted special -needs population.
Built structurally stronger than conventionally built homes, they are also less expensive and erected in significantly less time than other methods of construction and will quickly become examples of QLC's industry leading innovation in the housing arena.
Over 30 years ago the idea of container homes made its debut. Walls pulled into place, and a home being constructed in record time intrigued the fellows at QuickQuarters and Sigem. (Quality Life Construction’s for-profit big sister). They really liked the thought of the speed at which a container home could be erected, but felt it needed a lot of improvement. They went to Research & Development and began perfecting the production process. After years of research and development they came upon the product they envisioned. Its use could be adapted anywhere in the world and benefit families who lived in areas of frequent storms/hurricanes, or families who lived within a seismic activity zone. They took their developed product to FEMA for disaster relief. FEMA utilized the product for administration buildings. QuickQuarters and Sigem began constructing homes for the military and refugees. Their homes and buildings began to spring up in area’s such as South Africa, the Congo, Germany, and Turkey. They continued to improve and perfect their product. Their goal was to bring what they had to the USA.
As the story goes, they met a woman, who had spent the majority of her life caring for others. The discussion opened to her friend, and the question posed to the gentlemen was… “what good can we do?” The gentlemen of QuickQuarters and Sigem began to think about the needs of the homeless, the elderly, the physically challenged, the developmentally disabled and the Veterans who have been left without homes or shelter.
Looking back over the past 30 years of construction, they had worked to do good for others in some way…. so why not embrace and join forces? Quality Life Construction, a division of Quality Life Advancement, Inc. (a non-profit corporation), began its operations. Established in Nevada, the intent is to encompass our largest cities down to the smallest towns with homes and shelters for the aging, the homeless, low income families and individuals, and for anyone else who qualifies for assistance within government programs while giving no regard to age or disability. By utilizing QLC structures, schools, hospitals and rehabilitation centers would be able to give more of their charitable funding to advance their good work and thereby allowing Quality Life Construction to advance ours.
